Hello everyone, my name is Ling Nan Meng. I was born in Beijing but grew up in the USA. The state I’m from is Minnesota. Minnesota is located in the Midwestern part of the US, a little bit north, and right under Canada. The Three Great Lakes are located there, right around the Northeastern edge of Minnesota.

I hold a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Minnesota and a Masters in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) from Minnesota State University Mankato. I have taught Oral English, Business English, English Reading and Writing, Linguistics, and Western Culture to ESL/EFL learners, and have also taught IELTS and TOEFL for students who plan to study abroad in the UK or the USA.

I like to spend my free time either playing sports or pool, listening to music, drawing, reading or writing, going window shopping, and when there’s enough time, traveling.

As an ESL/EFL teacher, I believe that it is essential for students to gain knowledge and skills not only through books, but also through experiences they encounter throughout their lifetime.
